The Ruins of Abundance are the location of Tapu Bulu, the guardian deity of Ula'ula Isle. Tapu Bulu can be battled after becoming the Champion.

The Ruins of Affluence debuted in Some Kind of Laziness!, where Ash and Acerola traveled in that location in social club to see Tapu Bulu and get it to help Ash in his training for his rematch with Nanu. The ii found Tapu Bulu loafing around at the top of the ruins, initially too lazy to even help Ash. Later on being surprised by Poipole, notwithstanding, the Country Spirit Pokémon finally got upwardly and demonstrated its powers past planting several seeds and growing them into big trees in a matter of seconds. As Ash'due south Rowlet rested on one of the copse for a moment, it was struck by a sudden flare-up of power, causing information technology to larn Razor Leaf on the spot.

Soon after, it started to pelting, and Ash and his Pokémon started playing in the rain. Tapu Bulu and so stopped the battle and offered Ash and his Pokémon Oran Berries from the trees, before going back to lazing off.

In Guiding an Enkindling!, the ruins served as the site of Ash's thousand trial boxing with Nanu. Afterward recovering from the initial shock, Ash accustomed this status and chose to apply his Lycanroc for the boxing.
